My 50 inch phillips plasma made a loud pop and the picture and sound went away. if i plug it in it makes the normal click a few times and the green light comes on and then flashes red.

Power supply board is dead.The board where the power a/c cord plug into it.Replace the power supply board.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

one day not start his open. stan by red led and after switch on ,his green bligkig is not open.sound is ok.(the relay his not click)

hi i have replaced power controls boards in more than a few of these & this needs to b done by a expert .

There's an over current fault in the power supply or the Y-sustain convergence board. The loud pop was either a capacitor or pico-fuse breaking from excessive current overload. Sounds like 2 or 3 mosfets have shorted at the gate ends. Plasma TV's always have this problem because they generate too much heat and the components cant take the load conditions. Make your next TV an LCD...

To fix this problem have your local repair shop do it for you.....

well it looks to me u need a new tv....all the details u give are pointing that ur picture tube is gone.....but call LG help and costumer line and ask them......u may get away from it to get a new tv
make sure when u get a new plasma to extend ur warren tie to a max o 3 to 5 years and if this would happend u get it repaires for free.......cost for a new screen app 1000 to 1500 dollars

Philips 50 inch plasma tv no video but has sound

if you could see light orange or green is has power is probably teh Y and Z board

ours was off all day and it pop 2 times and now no picture at all.

Wow. This is more comon than I thought. My 50" Vizio plasma just went out as will after a loud pop noise. Power button is still lit. Sound continue to come through but no picture. I will dig into it and see if I can find a appropriate solution.
