I have a Apex Digital DVD Player, PD 510. the battery does not recharge with the charger. The green light on the attached battery does not light up The player when pluged in directly to the ac cord lights up but keeps saying loading and nothing happens after that, it just keeps spinning. . . HELP!

I openned mine up and found that the lens carrige was not in the fully retracted position. I pushed it all the way back to the back of the slide. Then I removed the two screws on either side of the spindle support so I could get to the lens. I hit the lens with some compressed air, plugged it in and loaded a disk and it worked like a champ. Listening to some Stevie Ray Vaughn right now!!! And going to watch some movies later. ;)

SOURCE: APEX Digital VCR&DVD PLAYER ADV-3800 will not play DVD's.

What it so far done, it looks pretty fine. I'd break apart the problem if is posible to do it, i mean maybe you have some other sets around the house or some friend who have them.

• i'd test the dvd/vcr in a different tv
• i'd test the tv with a different dvd

Does it happen for all dvd disc or some particular dvd disc. If it is with some particular disc then clean the dvd and try them. If the problem exist for all the dvd then try to clean the lens by dvd lens cleaner and try to play. dvd lens cleaner will be available in dvd stores.
