Zenith DVC2550 DVD player displays Check Region Management when I try to play DVD'S. I have played the same DVD'S for years and now all of a sudden it won't play any of them.

No disk in player Turn on player press "pause" then 3,1,4,1,5,9 "CODE --" will be in view enter desired region code 0 or 9 press "pause" turn off unit for 5 - 10 seconds turn back on

Power on the player with no disk in the drive. Press "PAUSE" on the remote. Enter "3 1 4 1 5 9" on the remote (the word CODE appears on the display). Enter "0" on the remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.). Press "PAUSE" on the remote. Power the player off and then back on.
To play any region disc in these players shown below simply follow these instructions. Open the tray, place an R1 disc on it but don't close it. On the remote press 0, 1, 2, 3, PLAY. The tray should then close, if not close it, and the player is now completely region free.
This will fix change the dvb312 to region free for an individual dvd. Must be repeated each time you want region free.
Insert the different region dvd.
A message will appear on the screen "check region" (or something like that)
On you remote control press the "display" button.
Quickly press the number buttons, "1", "2" and "3".
It should now let you play the dvd.
It has worked on mine which was bought in 2003. We have watched a ton of region 2 movies.

If your DVD player is not a multi region player you cannot play any other region DVD than the one specified at the back of the player. Check in y our user manual it tell you if it is multi regeon. Multi regeon players are bit more expensive.
