Our Samsung TV LED UE40C6000 will tune no analogue nor digital TV channels. Error states 'weak or no signal'. Input is being received from satellite LNBs and has been tested OK. Cables and connections also tested OK. TV will furthermore not display any network [internet] options, although it tests A OK for internet connectivity etc.. What to do?

SOURCE: Digital tuning

You'll need to go into service mode and do a factory reset.
To enter service mode you'll need to press these buttons on your remote in the following order:-
Standby-info-menu-mute-standby.You'll need to do it fairly quickly and be patient it doesn't always go into it first time, don't press and hold the buttons.
The service menu should appear on the screen.Use the up /down cursor to scan down to option number 12 (factory reset)and then press the right cursor wait will appear on the screen and the set will go to standby(don't worry this is normal)
Reboot the set and retune and all should be well

SOURCE: Stereo Sound on new LCD Samsung Series 5 TV

Hi there,
It appears you may be using a cable type which isnt compatible with stereo. The Coaxial output on a lot of the old VCRs dont always support stereo so that may be your problem right there. i suggest you try connecting the cable box directly to your TV using a scart cable. Scart definately supports stereo audio so if this doesnt give you stereo sound the problem lies within the cable box's audio settings which you should be able to access with your remote.

ope this helps you solve your problem :)
Good Luck.

Are you trying to get over the air channels? IF you are does your TV have the digital tuner on analog? TV went digital and if you have an analog tuner will need either e new TV or converter box.

How do I retune my Samsung smart TV 40"with 3D

Country (Area)

Broadcasting > Channel Settings > Country (Area)

Select your country so that the TV can correctly auto-tune the broadcasting channels. This depends
on the country or region.
When the PIN input screen appears, enter your 4 digit PIN number.

Digital Channel
Change the country for digital channels.

Analogue Channel
Change the country for analogue channels.

Manual Tuning

Broadcasting > Channel Settings > Manual Tuning

Scans for a channel manually and stores in the TV.
If a channel is locked using the Channel Lock function, the PIN input window appears.
This function depends on the country and region

Page 147 of this User Manual located on this page will give you more information. (Sorry it wouldn't let me link the PDF manual directly)

Auto retune has wiped everything. Help

There is the digital tuner (DTV) and the analogue tuner (TV). Make sure you are tuning the digital side as there are no longer any analogue TV broadcasts in the UK.

The picture doesn't hold. The picture shows just snow on the tv.

VCRs are analogue. So their tuners won't pick up digital TV signals, and their output from the aerial socket is analogue too. You'll have to make sure your TV is on the analogue TV tuner and then tuned to the VCR output channel if you want to use the aerial connection for viewing. It's probably a lot simpler though to use the VCR's AV output to the TV.

If you connect a TV receiver (Aerial/cable/satellite) to the AV input on the VCR, then switch the VCR to that AV input, you will see and be able to record programmes.

Channel scan only finds 1 channel with basic cable setup on LG 42LD520

if you have a cable box just plug the cable box into a scart socket on the tv, switch the tv to the scart input and use the cable remote to change channel?Scanning for channels wont find anything because you are receiving the channels on a cable box. If you are refering to standard or digital tv signals and your not receiving any channels then either you are only scanning analogue tv and therefore wont pick up any digital tv channels, or your ariel is inadequate to receive an acceptable digital reception and will need to be upgraded. please state country you are in and what you are expecting to receive

How do I , or in fact can I, tune the DVD recorder such that it can see the digital TV stations - all I get at the moment is analogue channels

can you receive digital channels through your tv (if it is a DAB TV)? The reason i ask is that you may not have a strong enough signal to receive digital channels. Try taking the dvd recorder to a friends house and plug it in there to see if it will tunethe stations in. IF it does try it back at yoursto see if it will pick up the channels if it breaks up the picture then you need to upgrade your ariel

Digital TV Stations

The term digital in this case is the mechanism used to tune in stations. Rather than making adjustments using a front dial to fine tune the stations, there are digital circuits that will lock in the station. The "digital" stations you are referring to now are the over-air digital broadcasts what use a different method for transfering the signals over the air. These stations now broadcast a digital stream of information rather than an analogue TV signal. If you are using an antenna for receiving these over-air broadcasts, you will require a converter.
