Is the processor fan turning? HD acitvity LED lit? If yes then it could be attributed to a dirty memory card contact. Try to clean its plated pins with eraser. Just take out the memory card when the unit is turn off and unhook to a power supply outlet or UPS. I f still not then try to connect to the next mem slot with same specification.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: L4S5MG/651+ P4 mother board, no display on power

Hi jayson_rees,

There could be many things that could stop the board from turning on, Determining if it works is like detective work. What I do, is take everything off the board to start. Then add the minimum to start a board to see if it will start. That's one drive (cd or otherwise) the CPU, and one bank of memory. (that's not a required eliminate, but it helps avoid beep codes) Also, make sure you have your pin's set on the board absolutely correct, or that could be your problem to begin with. Also, if your going to load a ide drive, make sure you set your pin setting correctly on it. Now, you should get the power supply on, and the cpu. If those don't power up, it's then either one of the five elements. The CPU, Power supply, Ram, Drive, or the motherboard. The next step is to replace each one of the first four to see if you get any change. If no change, then I usually get another board that I can test the first four, and make sure that they work. After that, then I say you have a DOA Board

Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating.
Thanks
Mark

Pavilion dm3 keyboard backlight

The newer computers HP and Dell have L.E.D display. The power inverter is now embedded in the circuit board located on the back of the screen.Led uses less power the screens are very thin now. When some new, not all HP.s will beep .Pay close attention listen for it .this idicates a new screen is needed and it seems to be something major (mother board) when it 's not .Once the replacement screen is in it powers on no problem .So try listening for beeps as soon as you turn on the computer .Try that.

Every thing is working fine but no display as i changed the display & also checked the same display on another set it is working ok changed display ic but still same problem

Power off your computer and remove the smps 24 pin connector to the motherboard and short the green and black pin and see if the SMPS is working if not replace the smps.
Remove memory from the memory slot and switch on the computer if you hear beeps clean the memory or change it with new one that fixes the memory slot
If no beeps by removing the memory then remove the processor fan and clean it with soft cloth and apply thin layer of heat sink compound and switch on the computer
If you still not hear the beeps then change the processor
If still no beeps take the motherboard to a chip level Technion the secondary power supply or the clock, reset etc in the mother board has gone wrong or not producing them
