Question about Heating & Cooling

I moved into a condo with a proliphix thermostat and do not have a manual that allows me to program it. It tends to run the a/c more than I want in the summer and the temperature control is not where I want it during the off season tempertures. Could you tell me where I can find an on-line manual that I can program the thermostat the way that I want it?

May be your thermostat under lock. To unlock thermostat,

Press the"Screen" button on the touch screen, then wait for 30 seconds andpress "Done." In many cases, this will unlock the screen and thethermostat will be ready for normal use.

I have installed RTH8580WF thermostat for heat pump in my condo. I have R O Y G and I added wire. It seems it works opposite with 170=2 cools when heat on and teas when cool on.

Press the FAN & the up arrow @ the same time to get into installation programming. Follow the set up numbers correlating to options in the install instructions...Make sure it is programmed for heat pump & if you have Auxillary heat. Hit Next until you get to the reversing valve position O or B ( reversing valve energized in a call for heat or cool) and switch it to the opposite of what is in the current program. Hit Done & you should be good.

If the unit comes on when you turn set the thermostat below the room temperature, then there is nothing wrong with the thermostat. Since you said the unit was not blowing cool air, the problem lies in the condensing unit. Either not running for various reasons or refrigerant level is very low.

We're having exactly the same problem. I called ICM at 1-800-382-3113 and asked for tech support and they emailed the 2-page manual right away. I talked to Eric Wood, an Electrical Engineer there, and he sent it immediately. I hope this helps!

How do you reset the unit so it is no longer on program mode

From the Operating Manual: Manual Operation for Non-Programmable Thermostats Press the SYSTEM button to select Heat or Cool and use the [Up] or [Down] buttons to adjust the temperature to your desired setting. After selecting your desired settings you can also press the SYSTEM button to select AUTO to allow the thermostat to automatically change between Heat and Cool. Manual Operation (Bypassing the Program) Programmable Thermostats Press the [Up] or [Down] buttons and adjust the temperature wherever you like. Then press HOLD. This will override the program. The HOLD feature bypasses the program and allows you to adjust the temperature manually, as needed. Where is the model number of the thermostat located? just moved into a condo with the White Rodgers thermostat and need instructions on use.

It's probably on a tag on the back of the unit, but you will probably have to remove it from the wall mounting to be able to read it. Did you find how to use your NOMA digital thermostat? I live in a condo with base heaters. Have three of those. They are less than one year old. When it got cold recently one of them went up to 34 degrees. I couldn't budge the numbers. It's caput. The second one I caught going up on a cold night this week so I solved the problem by shutting down the electrical box. The base heat came back. But without the manual I am working in the dark.

Have just moved into a rental property with honeywell heating already programmed, l want to totally delete programme and run manually, how do l delete not overide the proramme?

There is a reset on the back of the thermostat that can be pressed. Just a bit of warning though, it will try to automatically set a program as soon as it powers back up. Depending on the model also, I might try finding the manual first. Hope this helps!

I have just moved to a condo that has a honeywell thermostat which they did not leave the owner's manual for. it is #RTH230B. i am not sure how to set the temp for cooling (or heating later).
