If the 380 is listed, there will be additional information there ... if it is not listed, you are probably out of luck using this printer with your nedw OS.
It's compatible, If i am right, you haven't downloaded or installed the drivers for windows 7. If you need, you can download it from here..
1. Hp deskjet d1400 win 7 32bit
Download the appropriate drivers for your system and install it, it'll work fine..
If you have problem please let me know..
[please uninstall the installed driver before you install the new drivers]
Good luck
Win 7 has been very thoroughly reworked so those 'missing' files were probably never there.
Go to the HP website and click your way to the product support page for your model.
I'm fairly sure you will find and updated install program or at least new drivers compatible with Win 7.
Possibly HP rare not supporting this printer in the new OS, although most Vista drivers are compatible with Windows 7, so have you tried installing the original drivers that came with the printer?
Also, Windows 7 has a driver "compatibility mode". Here is use of the mode explained on the Microsoft tech forum:
Right on the box it tells you, win2000sp3, WinXPHome/Pro
There are no drivers for your OS for that printer. HP have removed the drivers for ME 98 95 from the web site. There may be a driver for a prior printer that is compatible with ME and the 4185, but you have to hunt through www.driverguide.com to find one.
