How to charge battery, is there a charger that we have lost or does it charge while on player & plugged in

Hello,

The player charges, with or without playing a disc on it,

First step to charging your battery is having it plugged without playing it for a while.

There should be a light that comes on when you plug it to a power source.

When it is full, there also is another light that comes on to signify it is full.

You can also charge it while playing a DVD on it.

But if it does not charge when you plug it without playing a Disc on it, then there is a problem that need to be fixed on it.

test if the battery is charging.
  1. plug the player to a power source for some time,
  2. wait for some time for it to have charged very well,
  3. unplug it from the power source,
  4. test a disc on it to see if it will play.
if it does not play, then it means there is a problem.
which could be that the battery may be faulty.

All you have to do is to replace the battery and it will work perfectly fine again.

take care

Can't seem to get my dvd player to charge.

I have this model dvd player and it has worked very well for over a year. Lately it has not had a picture but has had sound when fully charged. When the green light is on, it is charging. When the light goes off, it is fully charged (or should be). I plugged the wall charger directly into the dvd player and it works fine with pic and sound. I think maybe the rechargable battery is on it last legs. I am looking for a longer cig lighter charger cord to reach the headrest so kids can watch from backseat. I will be able to keep it plugged in to charger at all times. Hope this helps!

Need help charging my mintek dvd player battery

The way the battery is usually charged is by plugging it into the player and plugging the player into the a/c outlet. Do not use the player, Just allow the player to charge the battery. The way you tell if the charging is working is the light on the front will usually be a red color and it will be steady color or blinking while charging. When the battery is fully charged, the light will turn green or turn off . This lets you know that the battery has fully charged. To test this try using the dvd player on the battery only. Play a dvd or cd and see if the battery is working properly. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Battery won't charge

Borrow or get a cheap volt meter to see if the power supply is working. Insert one probe on the inside, and one on the outside to see what is going on inside the power supply/charger.
Does the power supply hum or get warm? If not, it was probably made pre-broken at the factory in china. Either that or it's power lead has a break, it's power output jack or where it connects to the main board on your portable DVD player.

Portable DVD Player will not power up

This player should be charged up until the green light goes out to be fully charged. I usually leave them on over night.

Mintek 8" TFT portable dvd player MDP1810

DO NOT continue to try to charge that battery. The company recalled those batteries because they explode or start on fire. Do a google search of "mintek" and you can read about the recall.

How do I charge it? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

If you put the battery in the player and then plug in the player it should charge the battery. Be sure to leave it until the light in the front of the player shows green.

Coby TF-DVD7006.

The second question, I couldnt work that one out at first, but now i think I understand. If you plug the player into the mains, turn it on, red light shows. Light turns green when battery charged. Do not use until light turns green (if plugged into mains). In other words dont use the player while the battery is charging. If it isnt plugged into the mains then the battery cant be charging and you can use. Until battery gets too low :)
