Make sure the input is hooked in properly first, also make sure it's coming out from dish to inputs on tv and turn tv to the input you are hooked too and then try turning on dish and off to see if you can see anything

My Insignia Blu-ray DVD player and our Panasonic DVD player are playing only the sound with no picture. We put the correct imputs on the TV. They were playing fine a few days ago. We have Charter cable....

Sounds like the input board on the tv fried. (45-65$ fix if that's it)

Try the same two devices on different inputs , ie change from hdmi to component , or just use hdmi 2 instead of one, you get the idea.

Make sure the devices dont work on other inputs on the tv.

Then take a different device , like a 3rd dvd player and try it.

If nothing works in that input but works in other inputs the tv input board might (likely) need replacing.

If the third fresh device does work in that input , it is both dvd players or the cable you are using. (try to use a different cable in the tests than the one you have already used. )

I have dish and I want to know what to set my Tv on to watch a DVD? How do I get it started?

You just hook your DVD player up to any of the inputs on the back, then change it to that input. The dish should have no effect on watching a DVD off a different input. So take the Red, Yellow, and White RCA cables, put them in input 1, 2 or which ever. Change your T.V. to which ever input you placed it on and you should be set.

My imput button on my tv remote for my Disney princess tv doesn't work. How do I switch the imput to watch Dvds if the imput button doesn't work?

Hello,
If the input button on your remote is malfunctioning you can still change the input from the TV. There is a white panel on the bottom front of the TV with 4 buttons. The button on the far left side of that white panel is the input button. Press that to toggle to your inputs.

25A S2000 TV...20 years old. Worked yesterday with DTV. Snow now. Touch buttons, talked to DTV, they said call Sharp because the DTV remote didn't recognize the TV video impute. It did yesterday, so I...

Ok,I am assuming you are using a converter box on this old tv,so first try to manually put the tv on ch 3 if you are hooking it to the VHF terminals of the tv......if you are using a video input(red/wht/yel/wires) then that must be selected using the input button on the tv or the original Sharp remote

Video inputs not working

Looks like your son got into the service menu,(it`s rare since you need a specific combination of keys to get into it) and somehow managed to disable one of the input.I can`t tell you how to get back into it since it could do you more harm than good but any local tv repairman should be able fix that in five minutes.

Connect AV receiver to a Dish receiver model VIP722 DVR

Your DVD player should connect to your TV, not the DISH DVR. Is the Yamaha some sort of receiver or something similar? If so, it should plug into the TV as well. The DVR just provides a signal to your TV, just like the other two components. On the back of your TV there should be other connections to plug into like HDMI1, HDMI2, AUX1, etc. You select which input you want to view using your TV remote. For example, if you were watching a DVD, you turn on the DVD player. Say it was plugged into AV1 or something similar on the back of the TV. With your TV remote, select which input you are using...that way your TV receives the signal from your DVD player and nothing else.

What is your TV input connection? Are you using Antenna? Cable? Dish?

The Unusable Signal sounds like the TV is not getting a signal. Does your TV have a built in HD Tuner?

If you are using Antenna you might want to try setting up the connections and it should search for quality channels that you get good signal strength. If you are on channel 2 and there is no over the air channel 2 it may say "unusable signal".
