Won't turn on...tried 2 batteries, left without battery overnite...still dead.

My 2003 Saturn l200 2.2 ecotec did this when the battery was dead. Put some juice on the battery, then the car came out of park, and I was able to remove the key. To the car, there's a vast difference between a sluggish battery and a dead battery. It may have enough amps to crank it, but it wont start w/out full output from the battery.

Double check that you have not accidently hit the kill switch.

Hello, If the battery won't charge and the laptop won't turn on but the ac adapter works with other laptops, then the problem is the port where you plugin the ac adapter. Some of the laptops has it built in to the motherboard. So you might need to have it repaired by a technician. Or if the laptop is still in warranty, you might need to send it to the manufacturer to have it repaired or replaced. But if the laptop works without the battery, or it will turn on but the battery indicator is not lighting up, you're facing one of these problems.
1. The battery itself is dead.
2. the battery bay is loose
3. the battery itself is loose

I doubt there is battery problem, have you tried switching on laptop without battery and connecting through the laptop charger? most probable your battery is not taking the charge. so suggest you to disconnect the battery and try using laptop with charger then you'll find the problem.

The voltmeter should only go as high as 14-15 volts when the engine is running. I would check for a poor connection between the battery and starter.

you may have something draining the battery a bare wire touching something, check all of the lights , trunk,hood, glove box to make sure they are all off try disconnecting a lead from the battery overnight to see if the battery still is dead in the morning, if it doesn't go dead you will have to try and find out where the problem is .....hope this helps......cheers.

Your compression requires you need heavy guage cables to avoid the cables overheating. They couldnt take the volt/amp draw being placed on them. I would get heavier cables and leave your vehicle key off and let the donar vehicle sit idling for a good while charging up your batteries. Better yet is if you have a trickle charger that you can hook up and let charge up your batteries... After you get them charged you will need to find that cause of the batteries going dead. Check to see if something was left on, or have your mechanic hook up your batteries to a multimeter and look for a draw...

Your battery is dead, and most likely the alternator is not working. you will need to fully chagre the battery in order to properly test it. if you have a battery charger, put it on low 2-5 amps and let it charge overnite.then take it to your favorite mechanic to get it checked out.
