Dear Sirs, I have purchased a Pioneer DVD - F727 - 301 from the USA. it has a 120V 60hz power Supply fitted. Can I get away with simpley transforming the 240V 50 Hz to 120V 50Hz to supply the unit, or will the 50hz damage the PSU of the Pioneer. Second question where could i purchase a replacement 240V 50Hz power supply to fit in the F727 (I am living in Australia) Many thanks Andy

Andy,
These days it is very simple. The Chinese are giving you everything. All you have to do is to read the specs on the present power supply and buy another one from the market with the same specs other than input voltage. As long as the output voltage and the Hzs are matching, all is well. The Chinese are making power supply that have input voltage as 100 - 240 and HZs as 50-60. Use one of these. Or, before you do that check on your present one to see if it is not already having all these specs, (100 - 240 and 50 - 60).

I HAVE AN AC ADAPTOR,… CLASS 2 TRANFORMER FOR OUTDOOR USE THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.. MODEL: KMUA - 240 - 05000- 66UL INPUT: 120V - 60Hz 570mA OUTUT: 24V - 50VA

There are universal power supply units available that come with a variety of interchangeable ends and switchable polarity, current and voltages. However, if one of these will fit your particular needs I have no idea or indeed if they are available in your country. Try eBay or Amazon. I hope that is of some help.

Will my Behringer amp purchased in the USA work in Australia

You will probably need a voltage converter. Unless you purchased the general export model with a switchable voltage power supply, your PMX2000 will have the power supply for the 120V 60 Hz electrical mains and a 10A H fuse. To confirm this, look on the back of the amp.
I wish that I had better news for you.

I recently purchased a Pioneer SC-07 in North America(110v/60Hz) and need to convert it to use in Australia (240/50Hz) Am I able to purchase power supply to make this happen?

You need to locate a power converter. This is basically a trqansformer that will convert the 240V system into a 110V system. These are generally available anywhere where travel supplies are sold. You can also contact Pioneer and see if they have a conversion kit which would require the replacement or alteration of the internal transformer on the unit.

What power supply is needed for hp scanjet 2400

It is depends on your scanner power adapter and where u purchase the scanner from. Here if your scanner is from US then the adapter power input should be 100-120V 60Hz AC, if your scanner is from Euro, UK or Australia, the it should be 200-240V 50Hz AC, while if your scanner is from others place that not listed above then it should be 100-240V 50-60Hz AC.
But the best way is look at your adapter itself, u'll notice the power input and output from the adapter sticker.

If you lost your adapter then be sure to purchase 1 that can output a 12 VDC, 340mA, 4.22W adapter to the scanner.

Power supply no good

That mainly depends on where you live, but you should check places like RadioShack, Bestbuy, or the local Electronic store.
Also try a shop which sells Cell phone accessories and parts.
120V/60Hz is standard in the US. The numbers you have to watch are theoutput: You will a voltage of 5V and the converter has to be able todeliver 2.5 Ampere (that's wnat your router needs).

If you go out and get a converter make sure that the plug fits yourrouter! As you know, there are 5 million different plugs and what mightlook like it fits, sometimes doesn't. Take your router with you toensure it is working. If you get one without being able to test it,make sure you can return it in case it doesn't fit.

You can also try e-bay (look what I found here).

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

DVD player Power supply problem

Hey Maharatha,

In order to use this DVD player overseas, a foreign voltage converter may be all that you need to ensure that it functions properly. Many major retailers (including your local Best Buy™ store) should sell 240V to 120V voltage converters, but the brands available and product pricing may vary from store to store location.

If you would prefer to avoid looking for a voltage adaptor, remember that Best Buy™ stores do offer a 30-day return and exchange period for all DVD players we sell. Once beyond this point however, we would be unable to take the product back.

Additionally, please keep in mind that the vast majority of electronics that are sold within the United States will be designed to function using a 120V/60Hz electrical current. While some products may exist that are able to support both the U.S. and Indian electrical standards, it cannot be guaranteed that your local store will carry such an item in stock.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
