As per your statement, it's understood, your unit is under gas leak. Hope there won't be cooling. Am I right?. Thanks.

True GDM-10 started making loud noise AFTER door was slammed after getting something inside; checked inside fan was running slow. Noise sound like something stuck in motor.

without knowing age of unit, I suggest replacing the motor. Sounds like the armature is worn the bearings and is moving inside the windings of the motor. I would do that first before moving forward with any other repairs.

BUZZING NOISE FROM MY HEAT PUMP

Take a look at this YouTube page that explains with good videos what are some of the common problems with heat pump noise. The one that seems dominant is the defrost cycle a heat pump goes thru when it melts ice off the evaporative coils. In defrost cycle, The compressor runs but the cooling fan does not, so you will hear a loud buzzing sound and the unit sounds like it is stalled...because only the compressor is running to generate heat to melt coil ice.

My Amana French door bottom refrigerator is making a buzzing noise. The noise is intermittent and seems to be getting worse. The ice maker seems to be work ok. Any suggestions on how I might fix it?

I USED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE WATER LINE BEHIND THE UNIT IS NOT VIBRATING AGAINST IT, CAUSING THE NOISE. ALSO CHECK THE BOLTS ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE TIGHT. THE HOSE WAS MY PROBLEM AND WHEN I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT, I WAS SO RELIEVED NOT TO HEAR THAT BUZZING NOISE ANYMORE. AND I THOUGHT IT WAS ACTUALLY INSIDE THE FRIDGE!

No matter how much I clean the machine after it is turned on for 10 min or more it starts to buzz and make a static noise, any other suggestions?

The buzzing noise is not from dust in the air purifier, it's from the dust and pollutants in the air, it's now picking up. It should stop once the air is cleaned.

The refrigerator keeps making a loud buzzing noise. It is not the ice maker filling up with water. The noise runs for about 5-10 seconds every hour or so.

Sounds like your starting components are bad on the compressor. If the freezer section begins to loose temp then this is probably the case. They will try to start the compressor and then it will kick off on its overload. However this will usually occur every 10-15 mins when they are completely toasted. Your compressor may be starting up part of the time and not starting the rest. Either way you will probably need new starting components on the compressor. You could also check to make sure your condenser fan motor is running (in the back of the ref behind the access panel) because this could cause the compressor to overheat but usually wont cause a buzzing noise.

Hope this helps _MJ_

I bet the Iemaker arm has been turned on allowing th eicemaker to cycle every 10-15 mins when the icemaker calls for water it causes the water valve to open. with no water connected to the unit the valve buzzes loudly causing your noise. make sure the icemaker arm is in the up position thus turning the i/m off thanks peyton

Loud periodic buzzing

Are you sure this noise is not just the ice maker trying to cycle without water? If it is not turned off it will dry cycle every 15 min or so.
