Hello, i just came home with a brand new ink printer HP Deskjet 1050. I installed all drivers and software (printer, scanner and some help software). when i connect it to my laptop, i receive a usb connection sound, but then Win7 says that device was not recognized. So Printer does no work. Need your help. (i uninstalled and repeated installation - no use oof that)... i am not a dummie, but i believe there will be something with my laptop. Win7, x86 (32bit). 2.0Ghz ram, Dell d620, IntelCore2 T7200 2.0 Ghz. Any ideas?

While installing u must get a message to connect the printers usb.
if u dont get so try the default printer driver with the OS. means dont install the cd which came with the printer istead go to startup, devices and printer and try alligning. might work.

Site said to check both cartridges. You might be able to clean the cartridge contacts to see if that helps.

printer cartridge maybe incorrectly fixed
-- clean cartridge contact
--clean carriage contact
-- change cartridge may be you using refilled cartridge

I don't have a solution, but just the same problem. It won't print correctly unless refilled with a lot of ink (HP Deskjet 1050).
