It is best that you exercise patience and wait till tomorrow and return it to the store from which you bought it because tampering with it may void your warranty. Hope this solution was helpful? Please comment for more information and thank you for using fixya.com
The problem is that this is an "MP3 only player". Check the format of your audio files you ripping software is probably converting your CD's into MPEG-4 format, which I discovered will not play on this player.
I am currently searching for a patch from the company or looking for older ripping software for the MP3 format. My girls are waiting for me for fix rather than return the players they got from Grammy for Christmas.
Most likely you have a full charge but the problem is FALSE Advertising! Swagger MP3 players only support MP3's downloaded from Amazon.com, any other MP3's will only play for a matter of seconds before shutting off. These players are a total rip off.
Got the small pink clip on style for Christmas. Went to recharge on my pc and it would not charge in the front USB port. Had to charge it in one of the back USB ports. Charged just fine, but now our computer(old Dell 2000 windows XP) is no longer working so we bought a new Dell Insprion. Cannot recharge it on my new computer. Called Dell and they said there is nothing they can do. Bought a 4 place USB universal charger and it will not charge it either. Not sure if this will help anybody, just sharing my experience.
Bought my wife one at JC Pennys, Computer doesn't recognize it and no red light ever showed up however a blue one does also the website listed in the paperwork www.sakar.com doesnt even list the swagger mp3 player
It's either problem with the player or the charger if you usually charge it when you connect to the computer then it's more likely to be a problem on the player itself and it will have to be replaced ,if it has warranty then return it. You can also try a different USB cable or USB port.
The unit may need to be reset. Many of the MP3 players have a small hole in them that the end of a paper clip can fit into. By pushing in the paper clip end for ten seconds, the unit will be reset and should operate properly
Get this. The instruction manual, at least the one that came with my MP3 player, has INCORRECT instructions for how to charge it. It says you just plug it in, but you actually have to plug it in and double-click the power button. Don't click and hold, and you DO have to press it twice, quickly. You'll see the charge bar start to fill. You may also want to try resetting it, use a paper clip and poke it into the little tiny
hole on the top next to the headphone plug in. That should reset it and
be good to go. If that doesn't work, try reformatting.
