Question about HP PL5060N 50 in. Plasma HDTV

1 Answer

I have a HP PL5060N My TV is going nuts. The channels change on their own no matter if I am watching TV, gaming or watching a movie. I just get booted out of where I am or the TV show to watch the new channel the TV went to on it's own. For whatever reason the channel just goes down one channel at a time but sometimes it doesn't stop after changing one channel it might keep going for a total of 3 channels. After a minute or so it will do it again. I took the batteries out of the remote, took the remote to a different room and blocked the remote sensor on the TV but the channel will still change. How do I fix this??

I want to watch a movie on my DVD player so what channel should i be on to view the movie. Can hear the movie. Carl

Well is your DVD connected to your Tv by AV cables?
If so try looking for a "SRC" or something simular, which is Source. This changes from Normal tv channels to DVD/GAMES.

But you said you can hear the movie; maybe you put the Video In cable into the wrong port. I know my parents always do this and I have to fix it for them.

I'm pretty sure that I have the Zentih model ZEN425 universal remote I have successfully programmed it to my tv but I am unsure how to switch the tv to Game mode

Hi

The game channel on your TV is the same as the AV channel (the channel you use to watch movies from your dvd player or home theater systems)

As long as the AV cords of the game is properly connected just switch to AV and you are good to go..

Channels change by themselves after 20-30 minutes of tv being on

Have you tried covering the IR eye on the front of the TV when this starts occuring? Sometimes other devices in your home can emit infrared light that in rare cases can be picked up by your TV as a command from the remote. If covering the eye seems to stop the problem, I would say my guess is correct. If the problem continues even with the IR eye blocked I would say that the internal tuner of the TV might be defective. good luck!

Cannot watch channels past 13

Your tuner settings must be set on broadcast instead of cable. Below channel 13, they use the same frequencies so it doesn't matter. Find the tuner settings page in the menus and change the cable/air setting.

Sanyo DS24205 24" TV input problems

Hi,
I'm sure you know you need the original remote if there is no menu on the front of the set. I suggest doing a search for customer support online for Sanyo products. There you will find contact numbers to see if one is available. Try "Sanyo remotes" on Google or Yahoo etc. Hope this helps
