SOURCE: I think that my little brother put something inside wii console

Hi,
The mechanism that accepts disk is faulty probably due to something being forced into slot. Have fixed many problems the same as this. If you need me to have a look let me know [email protected]. NO FIX, NO FEE returned free of charge

SOURCE: wii disk wont spin any disks

Hi there jus4

What to do when your Wii Has problems with reading disks and you have tried cleaning the disk.

This does not mean your Disk Drive needs replacing more often than not it just needs the laser to be readjusted.

Option 1

You can send this off to Nintendo if your still in warranty because it is included in there free fixes so they will do the collecting for you, fix it and return the Wii to you, all for free, but it will take 4-6 weeks.

Option 2

If you are out of warranty its the same process as above but its $150 in cost

Option 3

now a new Disk drive would cost around $75 for a compatible one and you may need some one to fit it at a cost as well.

Option 4

What I recommend is a Wii Repair Guide that will show you the simple steps yourself, you will be up and running again in less than an hour and the cost is far less than option 2 & 3

Good Luck

I have a Nintendo Wii and every time when i put in Wii sports resort it always says unable to read disk check Wii operation manual guide for help troubleshooting. but i lost my Wii operation manual guide...

Your disk may be scratched or dirty, make sure it is inserted the correct way. try inserting another wii game and see if it can read that.

You can try to clean your disk using this guide, but if its scratched then it wont help.

I put in a disk and it does not read the disk. The blue light goes out immediately after inserting then nothing

Sounds like the DVD drive inside of your Wii may have failed.

This drive should fix any reading issues you are having with your games, or issues inserting your games or ejecting them (or lack thereof). This is the entire DVD drive assembly mechanism replacement for your Wii including a new laser. If your discs are not ejecting, or you cannot insert a disc -- or you can insert a disc but it will not load, this is what you need to get your Wii going again!

Says disc not being read

Is you WII Softmodded/Hardmodded by any chance? That could be part of the problem. Are you inserting compatible disks? Are you inserting the disk shiny side inwards (towards the inside of the machine/buttons)
Have a look at http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/gameDiscs.jsp#wont_play

Wii unable to accept/eject disc making buzzing sound

  • When the disks were put in/taken out the little plastic clips in side the wii may have broken off. Might be stuck near the motor. Gently shake while rotating the the wii with all the cords off with no game inside. listen for anything loose. If your lucky the piece will go to another part of the wii. Best thing is to find someone to take it apart to check.

Wii wont play disk

When the Wii takes in a disk two metal fingers rise up to block the opening. These probably got bent when your two year old tried inserting the second disk. If they are bent they will rub the edge of the disk and prevent it from rotating. If a smaller game cube disk will work then bent fingers is the most likely problem. They can be bent back out.
