Everything works, without sound, from the DVD? All my other sound systems are working.

No special programming is required. Connect the DVD player to the TV using an HDMI cable. Note which input jack you used on the TV (example: HDMI 1 or HDMI 2, etc.) Turn on the DVD player and insert a DVD disc and play it. Turn on the TV and select the input you used to connect the DVD player (example: HDMI 1 or HDMI 2, etc.). You should now see and hear the DVD disc playing. Most settings are pre-set at the factory so everything will work without adjustment. However, both the DVD player and the TV have a Menu where you can adjust settings for picture, sound, etc. if desired.

Without an hdmi compatible external sound system that's all you can do.

OK....Pull the dvd player out. Look to see if it has speaker wires coming off the back. If not, does it have rca plugs???? (red and white). if so then you are gonna need an amplifier to get sound. If it DOES hve speaker wires, chec to see if they are hooked up to the speakers in the vehicle.

Solution: connected the rear right and left wires to the Front , left and right wires......................and everything works the way I anticipated without any technical problems....... the woofer works on a separate circuit, so I continue to receive the "low" frequency..

Sounds like an install problem. All of your inputs (audio and video) should run through the BOSE and then only the video out needs to run to the TV. In this way the BOSE is the sound source for everything

Progressive scan is turned on. Reset the player first, and then follow the instructions in the manual step by step without skipping a single detail - you are flying blind (without picture), so a single omission from the directions will cause this procedure not to work.

there's a 6.3 amp fuse in the subwoofer that can be replaced.

There is a blue and white wire from the head unit that needs to be connected to the blue wire from your car harness. This powers up a separate amplifier that provides sound to the speakers crossovers. Without doing this you will not get any sound.
