Connection problems might be caused by one or more of the following factors:

  • Weak batteries or a weak Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack
  • Interference from another wireless device, such as a microwave oven, a cordless phone, or a wireless router
  • Metallic objects positioned between the console and the wireless controller, such as a chrome faceplate or metal dividers, shelves, or doors on an entertainment center cabinet

Note All licensed Xbox 360 console faceplates are tested for interference, and do not interfere with licensed wireless devices.
  • There are already four controllers connected to the console.

If your controller is still not working, try the next solution. Back to the top Solution 2: Replace the batteries or the Rechargeable Battery PackInsert fresh AA batteries, or attach a fully charged Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack to your controller. If you have an Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack
  • Remove the battery pack and reattach it to your controller, making sure that it is attached correctly.
  • Press and hold the Xbox Guide button. In the upper-left area of the Xbox Guide button, the battery meter indicates your current level of battery strength. You might need to recharge the battery pack, if the level is low.

If you have an Xbox 360 Play & Charge kit
  • Make sure that the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack is correctly connected to your controller and plugged into one of your console's USB ports. If you check both of those things but are still having the problem, try the suggestion below.
  • Plug the charge cable into each USB port on your console, one by one. There are two USB ports on the front of the console and one on the back. If the controller works in one USB port but not another, try another accessory in the USB port that did not work with the controller. If the USB port does not work with any accessory, your Xbox 360 console might need to be repaired.
  • Turn off vibration feedback (rumbling) on the controller. If you play games with feedback while charging, it takes longer for the controller to charge and might drain the battery pack faster than it can recharge. Here's how to turn vibration off.
    1. Press the Xbox Guide button on the controller.
    2. Go to the Settings area, and then select Preferences.
    3. Select Vibration.
    4. Select Enable Vibration to clear the checkbox.

However, objects placed between the controller and the console might reduce this range. In addition, objects that use wireless technology (for example, a cordless phone) can interfere with your wireless controller. Remove or relocate objects or wireless devices that might interfere with the wireless controller or console. Here are some things that can cause problems:
  • Microwave ovens
  • Cordless phones
  • Wireless routers
  • Chrome faceplates
  • Metal dividers
  • Shelves
  • Doors on an entertainment center cabinet

If your controller is still not working, try the next solution. uparrow.gifBack to the top Solution 4: Disconnect all controllers and headsetsIf all four rings surrounding the power button on the console are green but the controller has four flashing green lights, four controllers might already be connected to the console. Disconnect all of the controllers, and then try to connect the controller with the problem.
  • To disconnect a wireless controller, press and hold the Xbox Guide button for three seconds, and then turn the controller off.
  • To disconnect a wireless headset, turn the headset off.
  • To disconnect a wired controller or headset, unplug its cable from the console.

Wireless remote keeps turning off

check the coils on both the battery pack and controller for any battery corrosion (white powdery paste) if you see any corrosion on the pack, buy a new pack, if you find some on the controller, you can try to scrape it off but it might be time to buy a new controller.

if no corrosion is sighted at all you can get into the controller with a special tool, there you can make sure everything is connected in the right place, look on youtube for a video on how it should look.

We have synced wii fit board new batteries installed in both board and working before house move now keeps stating ease step off me and press a cant go any further keeps repeating itself please help

o the wii fit board itself one of the pressure plates is stuck.. This means that it had constant weight on it while you were moving, say for instance you may have put it to the button of a box and put stuff on it.

t you will need to open it up and free the bent contacts on the pressure pads or in between them. Chances are depends on how bad it is you will need to get a new one.

I cant use my controler because the green part keeps bliking and wont turn on so i cant play my xbox 360

I had this exact same issue the other day. Changing the batteries did not work for me, but don't cross that off of the list quite yet. This worked for me:
1.) Pop the battery pack off of the controller. This is the only way you're going to be able to turn it off. Wait about 5 seconds and put the battery pack back into the controller.
2.) Turn on your X-Box with the power button ON THE CONSOLE. It should turn ON. If it doesn't, unplug the X-Box for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and try again.
3.) When your X-Box turns on, go ahead and hit the controller's power button. Things should function normally from this point forward.
Please let me know if this works for you!

Hi, i have a ''pace'' sky freesat box that keeps turning itself off for no reason then turn it back on it has to search for all channels, any idea whats wrong you guys, its switched off at the mains every...

What is happening is that the "pace" box is forgetting everything that you programmed into it every day.

The reason that happens is because when you shut off the "mains" every night the "pace" loses it's memory. You might check to see if your box has a place to put a battery in it. That battery "back up" would keep the memory intact until the battery expires. It only draws a tiny bit of current but you are correct in assuming that it never really shuts off unless you shut off the "mains"
