Printer not detected during driver installation

Hi,
Based on your post "...they are not speaking to each other...", the only reason is because the printer is offline. Additionally, the flashing orange light might be indicative of a "Waste Ink Counter". The correct procedure would be to clean or replace before resetting but usually you can get away with resetting once.
1. Start with printer OFF
2. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
3. Release RESUME
4. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
6. Select functions below with RESUME, execute with POWER
0 presses - green light - Test Print
1 press - orange light - EEPROM info print
2 presses - green light - EEPROM initialise
3 presses - orange light - reset waste ink counter.
The above was originally posted here. Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
Hi again,
Pls try:
1. Unplug from the mains for an hour or so;
2. thereafter while still unplug, try to power ON the printer a few times. The idea is to dissipate whatever stored/residual electricity is inside;
3. Press simultaneously on "Power" and "Resume", without letting go, ask somebody to plug in the printer to the mains.
Alternately, you can try:
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
Again, good luck.

Try reinstalling the printer driver again

I have re-installed the printer driver, even updated it online, and get the same results from the printer.
Thank you for that. At the point where I'm supposed to let the green light blink until the head stops moving... the orange light blinks, not the green. If I push resume once and power once to execute a test print, the green light comes on but nothing happens. It is unresponsive to all the other commands, but hey, at least I have a solid green light now. More suggestions needed.
Sorry, none of that works.... I will try the off an hour suggestion.
The problem persists unchanged....
