Its because it got reset accidently and then how would i restore it back again. or can it still be restored back??

Try to restore your computer to an earlier restore point and everything it's gone be restored.

you can do that by reinstalling it again or by restoring your system to previous restore point.it can done from start menu,all programs,accessories,system tools,system restore.Hope this solves your problem.please do vote for my solution so that i can improve myself

There is no way to restore the memory that was erased as there is no temporary back in the set.
You will need to reset the memory once and take care of any accidental erasing next time.

do a restore, windows xp does have a restore point if you remember the day when deleted the file go back an extra day in the restore point program.
finding restore on windows xp
click start go to programs then to accessories then down to system tools, then click on system restore (choose a day to go back and your pc will do the rest)
after the restart you should have the file back
