Changing the door lock is one of the easiest things to do in a washing machine. Just note which wires go where & get a new door switch.

SOURCE: Asko Front loader washing Machine

Hi,

This is not a good news. This is an indication of an internal failure. If the pump has blocked and the thermal overload has gone open circuit, just remove the blockage from the pump, the module and the pump should still be okay.

If the pump windings are water damaged, the pump will quickly overheat and cut off again. The pump must be replaced in this case. The electronics should still be okay.

However, on most cases, this error message indicates Faulty pump or a faulty pump and board.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

We have an ASKO W6451 flashing F6. appears to jump from 1 minute to go to 20 minutes to go then flashes F6. would it be something electical?

Asko F6 error is apparently a motor fault. The motor could be jammed, open circuit , burnt out?? It may just be a broken wire or connection come off. Check "Google" and type in Asko F6 error. There is a lot of info about it.

Machine dead after changing the brushes

i presume you checked the motor plug, not sure if there is a cable running from the motor down to the door in this model to ensure the motor is stopped before the door can be opened,id check in this area because they can be troublesome, take out the door lock by taking the front lip of the door rubber and make sure it is closing properly,i wouldnt be looking anywhere else for the fault at this stage-hope this helps

Machine wont stop filling with water, it just overflows. Machine is an Asko w6551 front loader

Same thing happened to my ASKO W600.  Sounds like the water inlet valve is blocked or broken so therefore can't stop the flow of water coming into machine.  Check it out and replace if necessary.

Asko washing machine w6342 showing f3 and cant open door or operate?

Make sure the programme selector switch is at an end of wash position as these door locks are interlocked to prevent accidental opening during operation. There is also a 2-3 minute time delay after the was finishes so disconnect for say 5 minutes and try again.

If it still doesn't open you will need to get access to the mechanism dependent on what type of relrase mechanism you have;

if it is a push button release with a cable to the lock sometimes you can remove the top panel of the machine and pull on the cable or linkage to open.

If it is a lever type release mechanism this is more difficult to open but you can sometimes reach and release it by the same method.

Always disconnect the machine from the electricity supply before working on it.

Asko 12605 overheating the wash water

(even not taking in hot water when filling before the wash stage which seems good)

The washer fills with cold water then heats it up 3 degrees a min. Your problem does sound like a faulty thermostat. Especailly if the glass door does get hot even if it is on 85f.
