If you have an on-board charger for your power chair this outlet is for your charger cord. One end of the AC cord plugs into the wall outlet and the other end plugs into the trapezoid shape outlet on the side of the chair. This is the same shaped AC cord used to power computers and other devices. You can buy one a most hardware stores and places like Radio Shack. If you are using an off board charger which plugs into the front of the joystick (round plug)to charge the chair, then you don't need to use the on-board one and you don't need another AC cord. Hope this helps.

Where can I purchase a plug in outlet chord (power chord) for the osim medic 380 massage chair

If you are looking for the male end that plugs into the wall, you can use any 3 prong plug made for 120VAc. Just cut off the old one and connect wires to the new one. Black wire to brass terminal (if not brass or color coded, the smaller blade), white wire to silver terminal (no coding, larger blade) Green wire to green ground terminal. Secure in plug and you're goo to go. If you need to replace the plug on the unit itself if it has one or if its hard wired (usually is) you may need to disassemble that part to replace or reattach the cord.

Wall outlet bad? Charger not turned on/plugged in right? Something disconnected? Bad battery connection? Blown fuse in chair or charger? Bad battery or batteries?

New batteries wont charge???.

I had same problem. I found a Zip Tie had dug in the wires that only effected the charging not the controlling part. Till the Zip Tie dug in farther, till it cut another wire, preventing the chair to move. That's is when I discovered it. After finding this out, my old batteries were probably good. I just assumed it was their end of life

sking the off board charger is a 5 inch by 3 inch rectangular box with a power plug on one end and a round silver 3 prong plug on the other. The charger plugs into the charger port located under the front of the joystick. Plug the charger plug into the joystick and then into the wall socket. When it is fully charged the light on the chrager will turn from yellow to green. Unplug the power from the wall socket first then unplug from the joystick In ither words always have the charger unplugged when you plug the charger up to the chair Now if the chair has an onboard charger there should be a power cord that just plugs into the chair usually somewhere in the rear of the chair all you have to do is plug it into a wall socket and charge away Hope this helps you

Power chair will not charge

Get new batteries and make sure the charger is charging by checking the voltage at the charger port located under the front of the joystick. With the charger plugged in set a voltmeter to 200vdc and plug the leads into the two outter holes of the charger port. You should be reading 27-32 volts if the charger is working correctly. Without the charger plugged into the wall outlet you will be reading the battery voltage 25-27 volts fully charged Hope this helps you

Hello, i have a invacare wheelchair that has 2 12v sealed batteries, wired in series at 24v. I wanted to find out the charge plug has 3 prongs, which should be -. ground, . over vice versa, how come there...

Salty The charger detects the batteries when it is plugged into the charger port. With the older chargers you could measure the output of the charger by measuring across the two outter pins. With the newer chargers there is no output until the charger is plugged into the charger port. Now on the M51 you should have an on-board charger and the cord plugs into the back of the chair into a three pronged plug. Now if you plug the on-board charger into the wall socket and look at the rear of the chair low to the ground you should be able to see a red and yellow light (red and green when fully charged). With this charger plugged in you can take a digital voltmeter set it on 200 v dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes in the charger port under the front of the joystick you should read 27-30 volts when charging and 24-27 volts fully charged and the charger unplugged. Hope this helps you

Jassy 1103, will not start charging the battery.\r...

the 1103 uses an onboard charger. Charger's life span is about 3 years; some fail in 6 months, some in 6 years keep in mind. You can charge the 1103 using an offboard charger which are available for about $50.00 on Ebay. Search for electric wheelchair charger. You want one that has a 4 to 6 amp rating.

The offboard charger has a 3-prong connector on one end and the other plugs into a grounded wall outlet. Plug the charger into an outlet and the three prong connector into the female three prong connector located at the bottom front of the joystick. Give it a good overnight charge and it should be back up to snuff in the morning.
