start there at the manufacturers website input the required info but that is for support and drivers
you could also try to update at windows for any updates and fixes for your version of windows you may of missed http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx
or you can try a spyware malware scanning software http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspx or any brand/manufacturer you may trust

If it didn't go to sleep before you dropped it, then it's not going to sleep after you dropped. It's shutting down or malfunctioning because of something else. You could have caused the memory to shift, or the hard drive to shift or something that happened because of the sudden impact.

Several problems can cause a computer to be slow. If it ran "normal" until recently, it is often a bad disk causing the problem. You can look for errors in the administrative tools; events area. Simples is to run a CHKDSK on the disk.

ACER ASPIRE 3750G 13.3", reformat.
when you turn the unit on hit Alt+F10. This will access the acer recovery partition from which you can restore. This is provided you didn't replace the Hard drive or wiped the drive yourself

I need to find a driver for the cd dvd drive on my acer aspire 5520-5865
There's no need for a "driver" -- Windows should _directly_ support it, to let you read CD and DVD media.

However, if you want to "play" a DVD movie, you'll need to have software (either supplied by ACER or purchased online, such as PowerDVD) to play the movie.

Acer's server is a bit on the slow side so be patient.

For security reasons password solving can't be done, you will need to "Recover" the hardrive by re-installing the OS through the recovery partition if you have one or by using the recovery cd's.

you should be able to get a recovery CD sent to you from acer..
or at least they should be able to help you recover your error.

Cd burner
  1. Try cleaning the lens with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol and making sure it is dry before trying it again. Please make sure laptop is not plugged in and battery is removed before you do this
  2. return to seller and ask for warranty
  3. if warranty is expired then you need to buy a new dvdwriter. Cheapest probably you can get it in ebay
