Hi! I bought a 2nd hand Toshiba Satellite L300 online. The camera used to work fine before, but after converting to another OS (Windows 7 Professional 6.1.7600 Build 7600) the camera won't register any image. Its all black. By the way it has a built-in Chicony USB2.0 webcam (CNF7051). I can't make it work. I tried installing then uninstalling all over again but it still don't work. I want to make the built-in webcam working again, but I don't know how. Can you help me with that? Thanks in advance!

Click on start, just above start you will be having a bar " search for programs and files".in the search bar, type in as "devmgmt.msc" and press enter. you will be getting the device manager window coming up. you can see a lot of names arranged in alphabetical order. click on the plus sign near the "display adapters". you can see the name of the chicony web-cam, right click on it and click on the first option, update driver software. click on the option "update driver software automatically". after the driver has been installed restart the computer. make sure you have the laptop connected to the internet before doing this process. please try this and tell me whether it worked or still you experience problems.

Contact with the seller of your laptop. He will get bundled drivers with laptop while buying new laptop. If you get the drivers then install proper camera drivers in it. If you will not find drivers so click on this link http://driver-toshiba.blogspot.com/2009/12/toshiba-satellite-l300-drivers-for.html if link is not working, copy this link and paste in your address bar of your browser. Download all drivers for your PC from this link. Install them in your computer. If still not working, then it is a technical problem. Thank you !
