Fell asleep with my rca projection tv on woke up to no picture But sound. I turned the tv off and unplugged and now when I turn it on I can here it powered up but no picture or sound. The power button blinks 5 times. Uugh!

Depending on make and model of the TV, it may have been in the middle of a firmware update. If there is a USB input on the back, contact the manufacturer, see if you can download firmware on a USB stick, to get it going again. There may be some other way to reinitialize it the manufacturer could help you with.

try main board as it controls all picture funtion. does the screen still light up? no picture...ect..

This is a CRT tube tv?Yes,than high voltage is dead.The FBT-Flyback transformer is dead.Take the aparts,check the big block of plastic with a red wire with a black cap that hook to the CRT-Tv tube.U hear buzzing sound came from the FBT?Replaced the FBT-the flyback transformer should solved ur tv problems.

Try this. Change the channel of your TV to 3, do you see a picture, if not. Unplug your system for the TV. Turn off and unplug the TV. Leave it off for about 10 minutes so it can discharge. Turn back on the TV and see if it re-sets. If this does not work let me know. Give me a detailed report including any brand or models you are asking about. Hope this helps.

Sounds Like your convergence ICs big black ICs will part number on them example STK394-020 Call Mats for Parts on ICs 1-800-628-1118 Also Call Encompass you can order whole Board if you want to you just unplug old board and plug in new 1-800-638-3328

I have the same problem with my JVC AV27750, the problem is probably the power supply relay circuit, just check and replace the 1000uf capacitor

TV worked FINE for the past 2 yrs---this morning we woke up and the screen is totally BLACK! No sound..nothing. REmote doesn't do anything to the TV. Red light says ON unless we unplug it. Remote won't turn off the TV.
Any advise? Picture tube??
Worked great w/out any problems until we woke up today!
