SOURCE: kitchen aid side by side 2003 KSC... freezer not freezing
sounds to me like a bad compressor....might want to have that looked at by a pro.
SOURCE: Kitchen Aid Refer: KSSC42FMS01: The freezer, doesn't go below 32
How long have you had this refrigerator and is this the first time this has happened? Your refrigerator has a control board and I believe the board is causing the refrigerator not to defrost every 8 hours. Let me know these questions and I will help you resolve this. Thanks, Sea Breeze
SOURCE: compressor runs continuously, and center bar (heat dissipator) is extremely hot to touch.
Molly, The hot bar is a normal part of the sealed system (compressor) operation. The relay they told you about is on the back of the compressor and I would not recommend you changing that. The refrigerator is a balanced system, the freezer air removes the heat from the refrigerator side. If the compressor runs all the time, look for food close to the edge and not letting the doors close completely. Move items back. Don't over pack the freezer, the air must circulate. The refrigerator of today runs longer and uses less power that the old refrigerator. If you are still having issues with this model call a authorized Kitchen repair person in you area and ask how much they charge to come to your house and give an estimate.
SOURCE: discoloration on floor in front of the refrigerator.
Filter is loose or gasket is bad >Have you replaced the filter?Other possible leak is plastic fill line at btm of freezer door.Tighten or replace
