Freezing playing offline two players or even one player.

First I thought the problem was related to the fifa09 DVD, and therefore I got a new one. That didn’t help. Then I got at new PSP3, and it didn’t make a difference. However, I found the solution:

Unfortunately I did two things at the same, so it’s not possible to say, what made the difference.

1. Dot not choose your local language (in my case Danish), but chose English (the next time you start fifa09 it can run with your local language)

2. Delete your saved data concerning fifa09

If it does this just for the 1 game, it's a bad disc. Take it back for a replacement.

hold the right shoulder button and turn the system on. it will go into the recovery menu. select configuration and goto umd mode. it will say normal UMD required. press X and it will change to M33 driver. now select back and then exit. system will restart. ENJOY!!!!

Several ideas: Change second controller to #3; eliminate saved configurations; save game on HDD. One of these should work for you
