The replacement carriage can be ordered either through a retailer that carries this brand or from the manufacturers or a distributors website. If you have the owners manual it may list the part number otherwise you can look it up using the model number
i'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like your carriage assembly is bad. the slot that holds the magenta cartridge is defective.have the carriage assembly and trailing cables replaced. this should resolve your problem. these parts are becoming harder to find because of the age of the printer. carriage assembly part number is C6074-69388. trailing cable is C6074-60418 making the assumption this is a 36" plotter. also you can try cleaning the contacts on the carriage assembly. good luck!
Hello, You are getting a carriage error indication (055). This can be a few things. First, you will have to make sure that your carriage rail is cleaned and there are no obstructions to the print head. Then I would recommend changing out the carriage assembly felts. There are two and they are located on the right and left side of the carriage assembly. Two little yellow or black if dirty O ring felts. You will also have to check your print head gap. You want to make sure that it moves from right to left freely when the printer is off and unplugged. If not you might need to perform an afta adjustment. If all is good then you are looking at a bad main logic bd. and it will need to be replaced. If you have any question on how to do any of the above, I can supply you with free technical support as long as parts that are requested are ordered from us. I carry all parts necessary to fix your printer. We also offer in house repairs if the job seems too much. Please contact me back if you have any question.
