Pro-Tech 8 1/4" Compound Miter Saw - Model 7203. Instructions for Pro Tech 7203 please?

Question edited for clarity 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved from Vacuum Cleaners category.

No manual, just parts listing but all obsolete. It is old and a Sears special.

https://www.google.com/search?q=pro+tech+miter+saw+7203+manual

The 10" Model 2708 is probably close enough.

Where can I get a plastic lower guard replacement for a 10 inch sliding compound miter saw kobalt brand?

Hello, John -

I am not finding a replacement lower guard for your model of Kobalt miter saw for sale online.

In the owner's manual for the Kobalt miter saw model SM2507LW (Kobalt is owned by Lowe's), I found the following information on the last page (page 50):
(Quote)
For replacement parts, call our customer service department at 1-888-3KOBALT (1-888-356-2258)
(End quote)
Source:
http://pdf.lowes.com/useandcareguides/000999312085_use.pdf

Note: All the parts and their part numbers are listed in the owner's manual: pages 41-48.

Therefore, I suggest you call the Kobalt Customer Service number and ask about the availability of the needed part. From the Kobalt Contact Us information, Customer Service is available Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Eastern Time.)

Best wishes,

Can i get guard for 10" miter saw

Go to www.ereplacementparts.com and search on your model to get a parts breakdown. Use TS1342L as the model number, the ZR indicates it's reconditioned. You can order parts from them or get the part numbers for the parts you need and check the internet for other vendors that may have better prices.

I can get the guard on but when lowering saw to cut the guard does not go up when lowering to cut.

Howdy, there is a slide rail on the side that has to be connected to the correct spot and unfortunately there are a few incorrect ways that look good on assembly, but don't function well. I would never Recommend Removing The Guard All Together and using safety glasses religiously, because that would be irresponsible of me, but it is the most popular action in the professional building community. My blade gaurd will not automatically rotate out of the way when lowering the blade to make a cut , Ridgid 12' compound miter saw

MS12502 has a solid arm actuation to move the blade guard, this is either bent, broken, unattached or otherwise not functional. sometimes the moving parts get full of sawdust and a major cleaning is all thats needed. generally all woodworking tools should be blown out with air after each use or end of day.

actual model number of your saw would be more helpful.

Change blade

OK first raise the cutting head. Loosen the screw that holds the guard in place and move out of the way. Find the spindle lock on the right hand side of the gearcase and turn blade by hand (UNPLUG SAW FIRST) until it locks. With the wrench supplied with saw put it on the blade bolt and turn it clockwise to loosen, it has left hand threads, remove outer flange and blade. Let me know it you need any more help
