This error message is related to Creative Sound Drivers. If I am right, you've Creative Sound Card installed on your computer. I would recommend you to reinstall the sound card drivers. If you have problem doing this, simply update the driver. Download this utility (Click Here), this program is called Device Doctor which will help you find the updates for all your system's hardwares. Download and install it, open the program and click "Begin Scan", after the scan is completed, you'll see all the available downloadable (free) drivers for your computer. Locate the Creative sound driver and click it to download, you'll be taken to the download page, follow the onscreen instructions.
For your reference, here's a screenshot of the Device Doctor:

Could not load localhost 2468 index

I'm sorry that you're getting the error message when trying to install the software from Sony Support page/ supplied CD. Most probability, the issue is related to Google Chrome. Hence I suggest that you use a different web browser to install the software and it should resolve the issue. You may also uninstall Google Chrome and install the software and later install the Chrome again to resolve the issue.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

Thanks for understanding.

I've tried for several days to connect to Kodak Easy Share and always get the message: has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Either the software is corrupted or is not compatible with your Operating System. There might be problems with your hardware device also (Kodak Device). First of all when the error occurs we have to find why this error occurred. We have to get more details about it. To do so: We have to examine the Error Logs.
  1. Please click on the Start Menu. Type Run in the search box - in Vista - or click on Run - in Windows XP.
  2. Type this and hit enter key. Eventvwr.msc
  3. Go to the Application Category. Check for errors (Red oval with X on it). If there are errors - see the details - for the Application please post it here. You can read the messages and understand which Application that the error is related with. Check the Date and Time values to verify that it is the exact error related to this software.
  4. Then go to the System category and check for errors related to the System if you have connected the Device to the PC. If exists please let us know.
Solution: e easiest solution is to uninstall the software and re install. Download the recent version from here. Note that Apple Quick time is required by the application. Download it from here. Installation Instructions and Operating System Compatibility - Now compatible with windows 7 as well.
Please rate the answer as well if it helps you to solve the problem.

Well yes and no. I believe you're asking if you can remove vista to install xp? It is possible to do so however HP/Compaq use a proprietary software to "tattoo" the motherboard which designates the unit as either a Vista computer or Other OS computer. Though it is possible to install and run XP on a Vista machine, complications may arise causing things like the OS to not properly validate and other software related issues.

Intel Pro/Wireles is not connecting, Error Message "Error loading Plugins..."

the plug ins that it relates to can only be other programmes that are associated with the network for example windows zero configuration. I would suggest going to my computer, right click>properties>hardware tab>device manager and look in the list for network adapters and on the '+' sign right click on your wireless network card and select uninstal. Restart pc and it should be installed automatically, but keep your eye on the taskbar when it says found new hardware and ensure that it says it has found the intel pro wireless( if thats the model) and try again. Also re install the drivers from your notebooks web site incase there are updated ones.
