The turntable is not powered, it rotates feely. Bowl rotation is driven by a plastic button on the bottom of the outer beater; the one closest to the outside of the bowl.. It transmits rotation against the bottom of the mixing bowl and causes the bowl and turntable to turn. If the beater plastic button is worn or missing, or the inner/outer beaters are reversed, or the mixing head is not down completely so that the beater button doesn't contact the bowl, then the bowl will not rotate automatically.

Sunbeam general makes replacement beaters readily available.

Don't know a solution, because I am having the same damn problem.
I am very discouraged with this product.
It is a piece of ****.
I am thinking about taking it out back and shooting it with my 270 I bought.
That is the only solution I know.

Kitchenaid stand mixer won't start after replacing gear

you either forgot a retaining clip or a pin. because it sounds as though the mixer is frozen completely, it also sounds as though you know how to do a tear down so I would suggest a full tear down and clean to make sure that you do not have metal shavings from the old worn gear that is capable of freezing your mixer, unlikely but it can happen, next is the speed control plate that may be out of tune and needs some readjusting. Let me know if this helps.

Delonghi DSM7 Stand Mixer won't start after overheating. Is there a reset button?

take it in to an appliance repair shop for a proper diagnosis and quote but it is probably not worth repairing ( armature and brushes )

Need beaters for a black and decker SM100 mixer

I searched for replacement beaters for Blacker & Decker SM-100 type 1 (SM100) electric stand mixer for years. I found the Sunbeam Mixmaster Mixer Replacement Beaters for stand mixers, item 4955, at a large Ace hardware store. They were priced over $16.00, so you may consider buying a new stand mixer. The beaters are the correct length, snap in and grip correctly even though the ends are curved like a half ball rather than flat as the originals. The beaters turns well but I haven't tested them with the bowl because I need to find the turn table that I have in storage. The beater set was design ed to replace parts for Sunbeam stand models 2355-1, 2356-1 and 2360-2.

I bought a ice cream maker from the US unfortuneatly the drive assembley isn't the right fit for my kitchenaid. Do you or can you help me find the right part? Kind regards Robyn Ricketts

Hi ROBYN, Happy New Year! First a couple of clarification questions: A) Was your ice-cream maker a Kitchenaid (KA) Ice Cream maker, too, and B) was your mixer purchased after 1990? If you purchased a KA Ice Cream maker and your mixer is less than 20 years old, according to KA, the Ice cream maker should fit all mixer produced after 1990.
If you have a different brand (not KA) of ice cream maker, then I’m afraid you just won’t just be able to replace the drive assembly, but you will also need the correct dasher (the scraper inside the freeze bowl), as such you probably would be better off purchasing a KA Ice Cream Maker, which would be compatible with your mixer. Of course if your mixer is over 20 years old, then even if you have a KA Ice Cream maker, it may not fit correctly anyway, which leaves you in a conundrum. Should you purchase a new KA mixer for your KA Ice Cream maker or do you purchase a new KA Ice Cream Maker to go with your current KA mixer produced after 1990?
You can download the KA Ice Cream Maker Use & Care Manual from the KA website at: http://www.kitchenaid.com/assets/pdfs/product/ZUSECARE/KICA0WH_Use%20and%20Care_EN.pdf
I wish I could offer you a better solution to use your new ice cream maker with your current mixer, but unfortunately I am unable to do so.
I hope this was helpful, even if it doesn’t provide you the answer you were looking for. Good Luck, Howard, Burke, VA. If this solution was helpful though, please rate it. hslincoln

Kitchenaid hand mixer (about 18 years old) works great, but the beaters keep falling out

ROTHL, you must be joking. 18 years?!? You're lucky it still turns on. In the last 18 years (I do a lot of cooking), I've gone through 5 hand mixers.

Buy a new one.

If the mixer does not work on all speeds, then check motor wiring and control board.

If the mixer is less than one year old call manufacturer at the number listed on the owners manual.

To get parts for your mixer you can contact West Bend Appliance Parts - Bettervac 1-800-675-9491
