After having our toyostove laser 30 serviced it started building up a large icicle below the exhaust (this was hardly noticed before). It also generates an ee6 code when it runs on high. It ignites and runs fine on low but if you need it to bring the temp up 4 degrees or more it runs for a little while and then an ee6 error code is generated. It ran fine before servicing- this was just for preventive maintenance. We have checked the fuel line to make sure it is not clogged or kinked. Our downstairs heater is running fine out of the same fuel tank and not producing a huge icicle or having any fuel problems.

How long is the exhaust pipe on the inside of the house? Is it covered with a cloth sock? The EE 6 is probably from air in the fuel line. I am a little confused by the term "our downstairs heater". Do you have a lifter for the L30?

I have a toyostove laser 56 that blowback exhaust during windy days. Is there an easy fix? Tom

Three times recently I got the EE 2 error. Each time gunk had built up where the tube goes into the firebox. A delicate scraping with a wire solved the problem. Now, what causes the gunk to build up?

It saying ee8 blower on da laser 73

EE-8 is for a blower motor malfunction. It could be due to carbon build up on the exhaust fan blades. Remove the front cover of the heater. Now locate the blower. There is a black rubber boot that goes from the bottom of the heater to the blower. Remove that boot. Use your finger or a pencil or whatever to reach in the hole and turn the fan blades. You may here a crunching sound from the carbon breaking up. Turn it until it frees up. If it turned freely to start with, you probably need a new blower motor. If it was hard to turn and you free it up, you will probably be OK.Let me know what you find. I have a used blower for a Laser 72 that should work for your Laser 73.

During start up of my Toyosstove Laser 30 I smell ehaust fumes and then the smell goes away. I took the exhaust line out and noticed a rubber gasket does this have to be replace ever so often?

Yes. Inspect the o-ring for wear or deformity and replace it if necessary. Make sure you either get a factory replacement or something that can handle the heat. It will be a metric o-ring. There is a difference. Also check the screws in the combustion chamber for tightness.

Will a monitor exhaust fit on a toyostove?

No. The Monitor has a male fitting going into the stove and a Toyo has a female. The diameters are not the same either. You want a Toyo exhaust pipe for your Toyo. The exhaust is is larger as is the air side. Don't mess around, get the right stuff.

Will not start when I press manual button then when I press the auto button, I hear a high pitched screeching sound. Is this a burner motor problem ? What is the fix? Thank You. Laser model 55...

fribue,

I am not an expert but I had a similar situation with my 55. My 55 was only making a droning sound when I turned it on. I contacted the company and they told me it could be excess carbon build up in the exhaust fan.

I accessed the exhaust fan from the back of the heater. I took a pencil with an eraser stuck it in the exhaust port and gently begun to spin the fan using the pencil eraser. After a minute or so the exhaust fan starting moving very freely. Then it worked like a charm

I hope this helps.

How can i get a owners manual for my toyostove laser 30 ?

You can go to www.toyostove.com and download or print out an owner's manual. Hover over owners' manuals and when the drop down menu appears click on vented heaters. You can download owner's manuals but not service manuals.

Gf3800 monitor-brand new E13 code multiple starts, propane is full any ideas?

E 13 is the code for ignition failure. You can find the codes at www.monitorproducts.com. Look under service manuals. Has the heater ever burned? Make sure your fresh air pipe isn't connected to one of the two exhaust ports on the flue pipe and that the air port you are connected to isn't blocked off. May be air in the gas line if its a new install.

I have a toyo laser 56 stove. It is starting to make a moaning noise. what shoud i do?

Pilot,

You need to have a new mat put in the bottom of the burner. When this mat lifts, sometimes the flame will cause a moaning noise with a large yellow flame. A new mat and maybe a burner ring will fix ya.

My toyostove is making the room stinks(burned dieseal ) smell. What is causing this?

Something to check would be the exhaust vent for leaking. We just replaced our old Monitor 40 because it was making some terrible exhaust smells in our house and it turned out their was a crack on the exhaust line just where it enters the stove. May be worth looking into. They are a lot cheaper than a whole unit!

Laser 30 model won't heat my 24'x24' Garage?

heating and cooling is rated in btu.or could be watts.for your space to be heated quickly to say 70 deg f. you may need a heater with a rating of 36000 btu.it will heat u up then shut off.if you use a smaller heater it will take longer to heat thus using more energy for the same results.
