I have a Hoover tumble drier model HDC6 type TCMo1 and it is NOT getting hot HELP

Find the model number and put it into repairclinic.com and find the heating element. They usually have a video on how to replace parts.

Very rare a motor fails on a hoover drier normally its the capacitor that fails. you can hear the motor humming but the drum wont rotate to proof its the capacitor turn the machine on press start listen for the motor humming open the the door of drier turn the drum by hand fast then shut the door as fast has possible then the drum should start going around . then this proves its the capacitor fault you are doing the job of the capacitor giving the motor a start .

never a good idea to run with out earth wire????
which earth wire did you remove heater or motor
if you removed the heater wire and it works
then change the heater

your motor start relay on the motor is bad and you need a new start relay

The thermal overload has failed. Replace the heater assembly on the rear of the drier, under the metal cover.

My nextra has just started to do same thing, does anyone know what is wrong

I think you may have a bad relay on the motor, where power is re-applied after the push start is released

Since no help was available without premium assistance, I actually contacted a repairman. He performed all the tests again and told me the problem was the control board. Then wanted $600 to fix. I found the part online for $150 and fixed it myself in about an hour. Instructions were easy.
