I would check to see if there has been any damage to the antenna during the installations. You may just need to replace the antenna. Another thing to look at is whether or not the signal is being blocked by any of the new equipment installed. The antenna should have a clear line of sight to the sky. In this case you may need to relocate your antenna. If it continues to be an issue, it could be worthwhile to trouble shoot and see if maybe the dock or radio is causing the issue. Did you put in glass with conductive coated glass installed? It will shield your radio if your receiving or transmitting antenna is inside.
My XM just recently started to cut out in certain locations that had no problem before. It seems to be getting a good signal the screen display does not cut out. I lose volume and get static just in certain spots. Anyone know where I should start looking for a fix.
You need to directly connect it for audio. You are not losing signal you are having interference with the FM frequency. An auxiliary cable or cassette adapter is a quick and easy solution.
