Going from 64 bit to 32 bit on Windows 7

Hello,

Ill make a big assumption here : On the bottom of your laptop there is a license key - That Key will tell you which kind of opertaing system you'll have on the hidden partition and it just might say 32bit or 64bit.

Nevertheless, disregard the top part here if it does not. Restart your Laptop, keep pressing ALT and F10 together continuously after the Acer Logo until it says somemething like "Windows is loading files". It should then give you onscreen instructions - and it might just also give you the option to choose which operating system type (32/64) you want.

On another model or also others, the Recovery DVD's that come with the laptop contain this option i know for sure. When pressing F12 on startup, (if the F12 boot menu is ENABLED under "advanced tab" in the BIOS) you can choose a device to boot up from ; Choose the DVD drive and boot from your recovery DVD - When it's done loading, you should be able to choose the operating system you would like to restore on your laptop.

Last but not least, if you have a Windows 7 Installation Disk, it will prompt you for choosing 32bit or 64 bit respectively. If you have lost the original recovery DVD's, you can request them from Acer.

Hello i am using windows 7 64 bit & i am facing trouble in playing videos of youtube. please give the solution to it thanks

I would like to inform you that, Adobe flash payer is not compactable with 64 bit Operating system. However, in 64 bit operating system you will get the 32bit and 64 bit internet explorer. Hence, I request you to use the 32 bit internet explorer and it will resolve the issue.

To use the 32bit and 64 bit operating system I request you to follow the below steps :

There are actually two shortcuts for Internet Explorer in the "All Programs" menu. Why two and what's the difference?

Here's the title of each and the exe's they run:

Internet Explorer
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

Internet Explorer (64-bit)
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

The first one runs IE from the "Program Files (x86)" folder, this is the 32-bit version. The second one is the 64-bit version.
