I have a Optoma MovieTime DV10. Last night it was playing for about 3.5 hours. I got up to go to the kitchen for 5 minutes. When I returned, I noticed a loud noise coming from the unit and a small pillow near the exhaust vent. I turned it off immediately. The unit usually gets hot, but this time it was overheated. Since then, the unit works fine with the exception of a loud fan/motor-like noise coming from it. what should I do. the unit is over a year old and I bought it from it's previous owner. I don't think it is cover by a warranty.

The DV10 has a futuristic-looking outer casing and two internal
speakers located behind a silver grille mesh at the rear. Heat is
removed through its side ventilation and the internal fan has a noise
level of 27dB, which is comparable to a loud computer and quite
distracting when watching movies at low volume. At 368 x 117 x 273mm,
the unit is small enough to permanently and inconspicuously reside on a
coffee table.
this is from a review .
it sounds like that the fan needs to be cleaned the sound you hear is normal but if it sounds like its racein the moder might be on its way out if you have a can of air used to clean a key bored i would try to clean it out with that if not take it to a repair place to see if they could look at the moder
