Will i have a problem installing 225/60/15 winter tires on my 1999 chevy tahoe

Hello,

I pulled up your vehicle information in our fitment guide and tires in the 225/60/R15 and 225/60R16 sizes are not load rated for your vehicle. They are also quite a bit smaller than the tires that came on your Tahoe when new. Running a tire that is too small (even if it was load rated) will have an effect on your vehicles performance. We do not recommend installing either of these sizes for safety and performance reasons.

If your Tahoe came with 15" wheels we would recommend looking into the 235/75R15 size.

If your Tahoe came with 16" wheels we would recommend looking into the 245/75R16 or 235/75R16 sizes.

If you are still searching for some winter tire options please feel free to shop our website at www.discounttire.com or contact one of our local Discount Tire or America's Tire stores. We would love to help you find a great winter tire that will fit your Tahoe correctly and help keep you and your passengers safe.

What is the recommended tire pressure on the infinity 05 fx ? i usually run 34psi, but this winter i ran 40psi for maybe a month. someone told me that over inflatining caused my right front tire to...

40 psi sounds high. For actual recs check sticker on drivers door. These factory recs are a compromise between comfort and safe handling. For winter driving some people "up" the inflation for better traction in snow, etc.. Check the side of the tire for MAX psi (it's stamped from Tire mfg) You can use the tire mfg.'s 'max" rating safely. Over inflation will cause tires to run on just center treads.

Looking for tires for my 2007 dodge grand caravan. Most 90% of my driving is around town. Need a tire that handles rain and snow and would prefer a quiet tire.

The only tire I would recommend as an all season tire would be the Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread, they're supposed to be good for light snow, summer, and winter...

Winter Tires

BFGoodrich makes a REALLY nice tire for the beetle that fits on the stock alloy rims. If you have the 16 inch rims you'll probably need to be running 205/55/r16's. I can't remember the exact name, but they make some decent winter treads. Either way, the beetle isn't the greatest in the snow so I fixed my problem in a different manner.

I got 4 rims off a beetle from the junk yard and put 215/55/r16's on them. They are a winter tread from Hercules Tire. They really helped my 01 beetle in the snow. It may have been expensive, but they keep wear and tear of winter driving off of my clutch. Also, it saves some of the tread on my Yokohama tires :)
