I just received my camera today but the displays are all in japanese and the user guide is not helping with instruction as to how to set it to a different language, I am stuck. Can someone help please ?

Work your way to the setup menu, then go to settings (its icon will be like a wrench and a hammer of some sort) browse all the way down to the 4th line before the last item, then press the right arrow, you will be able to see other language options, theres a lot.

The cameras are not meant to have multiple languages. You accidentally received a Japanese version of the camera. Call of the manufacturer and they should send you an English version. Let me know if you need anything else and I would be glad to help

hello there, i must admit, at first i was upset that i was most likely going to be stuck with a camera that would be of little service to me due to the display language. please, do not take what i am going to say the wrong way but this is what happend after i received your response.
i was upset and i told my 11 year old son to take the camera because i am too upset to fiddle around with it now and as GOD is my witness, two minutes later my son called out to me : " i got it, i set it to the english language". i did not believe him and he came over and showed it to me and it's true, he did set it to the english language.
