If the cooling fan stays running, it's possible that your cooling fan relay is stuck in the on position and is supplying constant power which is why it stays running. Sounds like the fan needs replacement. A faulty fan will shut the set down and the tem light will falsh in most cases.

Exhaust Fan Motor If the exhaust fan does not run the fan motor might be bad. Remove the fan motor from the microwave oven and see if the blades can be turned by hand. They should turn very freely, if they're stiff the fan motor will need to be replaced. The fan motor can also burn out. To test this use an Ohm meter. The motor should have continuity. If it does

I would look to the electrical side of the fan operation. You have three basic components to the cooling fan operation...the fan switch, the fan relay, and the fan motor. You need to determine what part of the system is not working. If you can run a 12V jumper wire to the motor and it works you know it must be either the switch or the relay. if you jump out the switch and the fan runs, you know it must be the switch.

fan motor may be bad. also could be a sensor. you can jump the fan motor off of the battery to see if it works.
