HEAT FAILURE - This means the heating system has failed to respond, which can occur because a high temperature limit switch has been tripped and needs resetting. On gas deep fryers, "HEAT FAILURE" may display if the pilot fails to light or if the pilot flame is too weak as detected by the ignition module.
If you didn't figure it out already you lost the orifice on the pilot light. It's a little metal cup with a tiny hole in it that slips over the end of the gas tube in the pilot assembly. The orifice controls the size of the pilot light. Need to get a new one or find the lost part.
Hi there. Check and tighten all wiring connections. Check the hi limit for continuity across the terminals using an ohm meter, if it has no continuity, you have to replace the hi limit. Regards.
Hi there. Check the thermopile, it must be clean and free of soot or any form of dirt. The gas pressure must be sufficient and all wiring should be tightly connected. Check also the hi limit, it should have continuity across its terminals when tested with an ohm meter. Regards.
Pilot assembly is located between the two middle burners, this is where the pilot is lighted. You have to turn the gas valve knob to pilot position then push it while lighting the pilot assembly.
If you have a pitco 35 fryer, all you need to do is have gas connected and turned on, rotate the know on the gas valve to the pilot position, depress the knob, while holding the knob down light the pilot, normally located in between the burner tubes in the middle of the front of the fryer, hold the knob for 60 seconds, when you release the pilot should remain on. If it does rotate the pilot know to the "on" position, from this point the thermostat should control the fryer. If your pilot does not stat lit, press the red button on the hi-limit to reset it, it could be tripped and this would cause the pilot to not hold. Hope this is helpful.
To see if this is leaking you can make a soap solution of 1 tablespoon of dishwashing soap to 1 cup of water to see if it bubbles. Just apply it around the knob on the gas valve or pilot valve. If it bubbles it is leaking and will need replaced. This will rule out a draft of air coming from somewhere else.
Sounds like the burners are dirty remove burners and run under cold water and replace propane gas burns dirty and might have blocked up burners creating a pop at the burners this will then blow out pilot light if this does not work give me a shout
