I have the tnd 700 i havent had it 6 months now when i turn it on it says system file missing

Your TND 700 has internal file corruption.You may be able to take it back where you bought it for repair or exchange, or if you have a full backup on your computer,you may be able to restore the unit using the usb cable.

Tnd 700 shows power but screen wont come on

Regarding our TND 500 we never fixed our problems. Needless to say, it was out of warranty for about a month and the company really was no help. I am sorry I am unable to help, but we just gave up on the issues with ours. We went out and bought a Garmin. Good luck to you.

I bought this TND 700 five days ago...... Today when I turned it off, the power button (red one on the top of the GPS) went inward..... it wont come out.... any solution

take a small nife or flat head scre driver and around the edge of the screen gently pry the seem apart inch by inch around both sides and the top the orange power button just needs to be put bak into place thats it i just fixed mine 5 min ago:..

I've checked everything, but I am not getting any sound in my Presario 700 laptop. What could it be? Maybe a sound card?

Besides the obvious answers like that it's muted or the sound is turned all the way down, you might be missing a sound driver.

I can't point out the specific driver because you havent posted here what operating system you have, but here is a list of Windows drivers for the unit, just choose which version you have:

Roads dont show up after downloading map updates

The download did not go correctly. You have a unit that is
missing or has incomplete files. Contact Rand Support and they will send you an
update card. It will not delete your user data and it will upgrade you to the
current version and with new maps. Be sure to have the serial number off the

When i push to calculate route the screen gets stuck on "calculating" and won't do anything.

You have a corrupted trip.db file.

1. connect the TND to the computer and turn the TND on.
2. go to your start menu and press on (my) computer
3. look for an external drive called intelliroute.
4. look on the drive(s) for a folder called Navi
5. double click on the Navi folder.
6. You should see a folder called User.
7. double click on the user folder.
8. You should see a file called Trip.db.
9. left click once on trip.db, then right click and delete.
10. disconnect your TND from the computer and enter a route in.

it should operate fine now.
