Cub cadet 3 stage snow blower auger will not stay engaged when left handle is released as it is supposed to while holding down the right handle.

There is a little clip/notch/piece of plastic inside the dash right by the left handle. It's bent or broke.

Writing tip on pen will not come out when I twist the bottom

Pull up the top of the pen (with the clip). Remove the refill cartridge and examine it. If it is not damaged put it back in and fasten it in place by twisting. The cartridge comes with a colored plastic top. The cartridge must be inserted with the plastic on.That top must not be removed.

Drum error. slide green tab in each color

1. power down the printer.
2. remove all color cartridges from their slots.
3. inside the color slot, you will see a green slide that will not move until you pick up the plastic cover.
4. rotate the plastic cover forward.
5. slide the green slide 3 or 4 times. (DO NOT TOUCH SMALL WIRES!)
6. return slide to original position.
7. snap the plastic cover back in place
8. return each color cartridge to it's slot.
9. replace color cartridge holder back to printer.
10. close all covers
11. turn printer back on.

If you still get the "move green slide" error, just repeat these steps

This took me about 10 minutes for the process, after understanding what the "green slide" meant.

Message saying color ink cartridge not installed

This is a common problem with the Canon IP90 printer. The printer keeps saying color cartridge not installed. The problem is caused by the small micro switch under the color tank. This problem is not common with new IP90 printers because ink has not had enough time to build up under the micro switch which will insulate the contacts. To cure this problem is very simple, unless you have screwed around the print head and busted the little micro switch clip off.then you really have a problem........
So if everything is still there and you haven't messed around to much.here is what the fix is.
First get a can of CRC Electronic cleaner for sensitive electronic equipment ,the quick drying formula.CRC#05102. This cleaner is safe and harmless to plastics. Do not use electricial contact cleaner it will disolve plastic.

First center the cartridge carrier, shut off power . Carrier should stay to center. Remove black and color tanks. In front of the carrier is a small print head button , push it in and up and the arm that holds the head in will release. Move the small metal arm up and remove the print head.

This will give you a clear view of the small micro switch. Using a long wooden tooth pick pack small pieces of paper towel under and around the micro switch and carriage.

The can of cleaner should have a long plastic tube nozzle so attach this to the spray head.
Point the spray tube right near the micro switch and spray a couple of short bursts . You will notice a lot of ink on the towel. Change the pieces of towel out ,because they will be wet with cleaner and ink. Two or three times is all that is required. Assemble and try it.

After replacing the toner cartridge you did remove the plastic strip that holds the toner in place?? If you did, on the control panel is a little sunken black button. Just take a pen or then object and hold the button down until the light goes off. This can take up to ten minutes to go off.

Try www.copiertoner.net for spares.

Epson Stylus Printer CX4600

Hi,

I don't know if this will work on an Epson, but it does on Cannon. The pads on the cartridges or the ink jets in the printer head may be cloged with dry ink. Get some Q-tips and rubbing alcohol (water is a poor substitute). Take out the ink cartridges and touch the pad on the bottom with a Q-tip (one for each color). If there is color the cartridge pad is OK. Take a fresh Q-tip dip it in rubbing alcohol and GENTLY rub the little holes on the bottom of the plastic box the cartridges go in. Thse are the print head jets. You should see color. You may need to clean it a couple of times if the ink has dried down into the jets. It is OK to have the Q-tip pretty wet, but not dripping.

Hope this helps

HP Officejet 7410 All-In-One Printer

Try taping it. HP will not sell parts for that model. They are pretty stingy with inkjet/officejet parts. You can try HP.com and check for an exchange deal.
