Help my ipod is locked and my son lost my cord to hook it into my computer what do i do?

maybe ask your son what hiz pass is if you didnt then if it doest work go to an elctronic store ask them or if u have the recpiet to take it back replace it

Ipods are not very user's friendly, using usb to hook up on your system needs a lot ot processing. The simplies way is to use a pair of 3.5mm - RCA patch cord, connect to AUX. or AUDIO IN jack

i had the same the issue due to my ipod. the problem that i think is with you is that you may have done something. To get your ipod on again hook it to the computer (USB cord) and re format it. that means you would have to clean your drive completely.. dont worry!!! then you need to put songs all over again...

you can hook it up to itunes and restore the ipod.
thats the only way to remove the lock

search the port on the ur pc USB slot(USB2.0) connect it there

my sons ipod has a message that states ipod is disabled....connect to itunes. but when we connect to itunes it still is disabled????

Connect the iPod to the computer and restore through iTunes.

First, try to restore using iTunes. If this doesn't work, place your iPod in disk mode (hold the menu and center buttons down togther) and as soon as you see the Apple symbol come up hold the center and play (bottom) buttons down together until you see a check mark (disk mode). It may take a few trys.

Now connect your iPod to your computer. Go to my computer and right click the drive associate with your iPod (for example F: ) and scroll down to FORMAT. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - CHOOSE FAT32 and then check the "Quick Format" box. After you do this then use iTunes to Restore your iPods another time.
