Yes this can be fixed, it is probably caused by a some faulty capacitors either on the power supply board or the inverter board. Have a technician come out and check the capacitors in both of these circuits.

You can find your mounting bolt size on the Vizio website by searching for your specific model number. I pulled up an example to show you where you can find the information. This is NOT guaranteed to be your model, so do not buy these screws unless you own this model TV.

If you click on Tech Specs, then scroll to the bottom of the screen and you will find a table labeled Wall Mount Specifications. This should give you the measurements for all the screws you need.

Remove the LCD monitor stand, purchase a wall mounting bracket. There are several types, one is on an articulated arm which allows you to left, right, up and down. Another type mounts flat to the wall with limited up and down adjustment.
You need to check the mounting holes on the wall brackets so it matches the mounting screw holes on the LCD screen.

I had this problem on my 42" Philips. Just got it yesterday and worked fine on the tv stand. As soon as I mounted the TV to the wall via wall mount system, I had the exact same issue you did. Figured it out today.

The wall mount was putting pressure against the center of the back of the tv (tv set had a slightly rounded back plate, and the mount was a flat plate). As soon as I put spacers (part of the wall mount hardware set) between the wall mount braket and the tv so there was no contact except at the mounting holes, the tv worked fine.

My theory is the pressure pushed the tv back plate against some board components which caused them to overheat (no air flow); or put pressure on internal connectors. I dont know.

There is no wall mount bracket for the VCS-10. It was not designed to be wall mounted. Your best solution is to mount a 22"x8" shelf to the wall 4-6" below the TV. Make sure it is mounted sturdy enough to support 10lbs.
