Watch stop ticking

mcdevito75 here, There can be many, many reasons why a watch stops ticking, Have you wound the watch?? is the watch a Quartz?? when did you have it cleaned and oiled last?? how old is the watch??. You can try this, Reset the time on your watch, at times, pulling out the stem and moveing the hands will get a watch to start ticking again, primarily in older watches. If it"s a Quartz watch the battery may be dead. I do some work on watches and I'll be glad to look at the watch for you. Contact me at [email protected] for details.

Battery Charge Life 10 years ago, not being able to afford a real TAG, I purchased a 'replica' Aquaracer Automatic in Bali. I am happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a real Aquaracer Automatic....

If you go to http://ww2.tagheuer.com/_documents/manuals/EI2246_en.pdf
you should arrive at the user manual for a Tag automatic watch which is similar to yours (an Aquaracer).

You will see that they claim 38 hour running when fully wound.

In view of the very small forces involved and the variations that occur in the manufacturing of the mechanism, I don't think that you should be surprised if there is a variation in running time.

If your genuine watch runs for a significantly less time thean they claim, you may have a reason to complain.

Operating instructions for a replica Rolex oyster perpetual cosmograph daytona watch

I need to know if this watch is an automatic or quartz (battery-operated) watch. For either watch, your crown screws in clockwise- which, by the way, is on the right hand side of your watch, and looks like a miniature doorknob. Unscrew it COUNTERCLOCKWISE, then, if your watch has a date on the dial (face of watch), your crown will pull out in two different positions. The first position is for your day/date. Forward will either do the day or date and backwards will do the other. DO NOT SET YOUR WATCH BETWEEN 10 O'CLOCK AND 2 O'CLOCK, because it can ruin your watch. The second position (pull out completely) is for setting the time. Go around until the day and date changes so you're sure that you're on a.m. or p.m. and then set accordingly. Push the stem all the way back in - this is your winding mode if you have an automatic. Wind 50 times before use, or else it won't run correctly. Now, push the stem back in (it's spring-loaded), and turn it counterclockwise to seat the tap, then clockwise until it's completely screwed in.
