Did you try (800) 582-9359 ? I dont see a full size cribs in the recall as you noted, just the porta-cribs. The metal slat the releases the drop side is called a Kick Rail and it was a common design a long time ago. Remember that dropside cribs are now considered dangerous and illegal to sell, via the CPSC website. If you have decided to continue use of the crib, simply create an "L" bracket under the bottom of the dropside that will prohibit the side from lowering. Also note that the CPSC says any crib over 10 years old is considered unsafe. I have personally spoken with Gerry/Huffy in the last 6 months so you should be able to reach them. Please respond if not and I will follow up. Good luck and be safe.
Evenflo bought Gerry and you can try them at 1-800-233-5921 8-5PM EST Mon-Fri Otherwise, you may post exactly what part you need and one of us may have it in a parts bin.
