there may be a problem with the tvs remote sensor. most universal remotes you dont even have to enter any codes you just have to follow the same steps to enter the code but instead of entering a code all you have to do is press the channel up button after following all other steps, just keep pressing up until it turns the channel on the tv then press enter or similar button after it changes the channel and this should lock in the code without entering a specific code. And if all other remotes only half the buttons work on if it happens with every universal remotes then it probably a problem with the remote sensor or the tv . Good luck too ya!!!
These tvs are contracted by the Disney Corporation to some small unknown tv company to make these tvs.So there no known universal codes out there. But u still can buy an original remote for this tvs thought.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an exact remote to the original remote.

You can get the original remote on Ebay. I purchased one for my tv and it works great. Plus it's pink!!!! If I were you I would look there to see if you can get the original one, rather then messing around with universal ones!!!
Good Luck!
the only thing u can do is find the brand name of the tv or in some cases the remote can be set by hold ing the tv botton and when it flashes press the power button till the tv goes off
Spoke with Starlight Marketing Ltd today who represent Disney. They said there is no codes for the Disney TV's. They have been trying to find out what the code is but since it is a private brand tv it does not have a code for a different remote. As I stated we bought the Pirates of the Carribean TV/DVD. My husband was fooling around with the remote and punched in 0216 and the remote read the code. The person from Disney said we just got lucky. Said that there were no universal remotes that would work with these TV's. This code was also used by the Haier brand tv. Hope this info helps anyone with a Disney TV.
