First of all CVGS has been out of production for many many years. There are far superior PSX emulators that are free on the internet that do a much better job emulating PSX games. CVGS, can not even run alot of PSX games out there. I would highly recommend you ditch that emulator and treat yourself to EPSXE (click me) it will take you a bit to get used to cuz you have configure a lot more but once you get it setup and get used to it, you'll see why it's superior.

However, if you're still insistant on using a program that won't even play 60% of PSX games out on the market I do have a solution for you even though i'm hesitent to give it to you because you shouldn't be using CVGS. I will solve this for you however.

Go .::HERE::. The author of that site has created external programs that act as CVGS.exe loaders. Meaning you run his program first and it does the work to make your original CVGS load. It's what we call a front end loader. It resolves many issues here's a short list.

Pentium 4 support
Fix's FF9 issues
Allows for different monitor resolutions to be set. 640x480 through 1600x1200
Full Screen Video stretch

Supports the following versions of CVGS
v1.3
v1.4
v1.41
v1.41 Demo

Also, look to the left of that page under the PSX menu. You'll see he's created tools that will help patch your CVGS to make it a bit more current. I have myself, tested these patches and yes they do everything they claim. As I said though i would strongly suggest you ditch this program there are far better emulators out on the market.

I have a problem to install window 98 .

Another solution is to download and install Microsoft Virtual PC in XP, create a Virtual PC drive, and install Windows 98 onto the Virtual PC drive. This works fine if you want to run Win 9X programs which don't require access to USB ports on your computer. If you need Windows 98 to have full access to all of the computer hardware, then use palaboy's solution.

Need to download ps2 emulator

...first of all fixya reserves the right to ban anyone for any reason they see fit. They're the site owners. Second of all, talking about, distribution of ideas, talking theory of, giving links to downloads, and EVEN RESALE OF. Is not illegal. Sony tried to sue two emulation company's that were trying to resell the bios in their emulator. The software in question was called Bleem! and Connectix Virtual Game Station otherwise known as CVGS. Sony tried to sue both companys. First they went after CVGS cuz they used the actual sony bios in their emulator. Sony lost the case on every single count they went after CVGS for. After that they tried to go after Bleem!. Bleem doesn't even use the PSX Bios and Sony lost every single case they went after against Bleem as well. Eventually forcing Bleem! out of business because they lacked the money to defend themselves in court.

So if you're going to say such things are illegal please provide proof. You can talk about this subject all day long. I can tell you step by step with diagram how to build an atom bomb. That is not illegal either. You building it and using it is.

Lastly, there is a great PS2 emulator that is free already in progress. It's not 100 percent perfect but it will play a very large variety of games flawlessly. Some have bugs, some don't boot at all. This is the best PS2 emulator currently available. I would suggest you check out the link below and read my post on how to set it all up. It has links to everything you need in order to get the emulator up and running.
