Copied this from the specification on HP site.

It would appear not to take 5 x 7. It's the 7" is to small, 8.5 is the smallest.

Media sizes, std.
Letter, legal, executive, No. 10 envelopes, Monarch envelopes
Media sizes, custom
Tray 1, 2, 3: 3 x 5 to 8.5 x 14 in
Media types
Paper (plain, letterhead, prepunched, bond, color, rough, preprinted, recycled), HP Color Laser Glossy Photo Paper, HP Color Laser Glossy Brochure Paper, HP Color Laser Matte Brochure Paper, HP Color Laser Matte Photo & Imaging Paper, HP Color Laser Soft Gloss Presentation Paper, HP color laser transparencies, labels, envelopes, cardstock

I have an HP Photosmart A646 printer that I bought in the hopes of printing to 5x7 card stock. We have pre-printed card stock that we use for gift certificates and we need to be able to feed the card stock...

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

Depending on the program you are using to print your gift certificates, try this-

1) Open the program and open the file you use for your gift certificate.
2) Click on 'Layout' then 'Page Set Up' (probably found in the top menu bar by the right side of, FILE.)
3) Select 'Landscape' and then select, 'Custom'.
4) Enter 5x7 for height and width.
5) Enter the information you need in the data field, (ie, name address, etc.)
6) Select, Print.
7) When the 'Print Manager' box opens, click on, 'Properties'.
8) Click on, 'Type' and choose, "Envelope'.
9) Click on, 'Size' and choose 5x7. - and click, OK.

Your printer should have a slide where the paper is inserted. Place one of the 5x7 cards in the slot just as you would an envelope and slide the slider until it is 'close' to the card but not directly against the card.

Click, 'Print'. The printer should recognize the card (due to its thickness) as an envelope and print it.

When I tryto print 5x7 prints from windows fax viewer my photosmart all in one model C4480 is printing the first 5x7 fine but the second 5x7 also has a small wallet size printed ontop of it

Solution one: Print on heavier paper Try printing on a thicker type of paper. Solution two: Check driver settings If printing on plain paper, make sure the driver settings are set to Plain Paper.
  1. To change the driver settings, click the Properties button in the Print window.
  2. If the Paper Type is not set to Plain paper, click the drop down box and choose More .
  3. Find and click Plain paper , then click OK .
  4. Click OK to return to the Print window and click OK to continue printing.

How to load 5x7 photo paper into hp photosmart D7460 ??

Simply set the page layout option to select from printer. Place the cut & proper sized paper in the inlet tray, adjust the sliders so that they just rest lightly against the edge of the paper. Remember only one slider moves and the other one remains fixed to one edge. Click print preview. You might get a message saying paper orientation is not right...should I adjust the printer automatically, click yes and behold it will print in Portrait or landscape mode depending on the matter. If it warns that output does not fit on the media(paper) then select fit to page option.....sodeep

2600N: glossy paper

Is this HP glossy paper? I would think that laser printers have a hard enough time handling any glossy paper as it is because you run the risk of the gloss burning as the paper goes through the printer so you might have to use the paper recommended by HP.

Here are the specs of the accepted paper.

Print 5x7 invitations on my 950?

Change the size of the document on word to a standard sized document - such as 8-1/2 x 11. Then when you go to print the documents, set the printing preferences to print on 5x7 paper. That should do the trick.
