Due to virus lost printer so inserted disk that came with all in one X4270 but unable to find wizard install shield so disk installations stops at 31%,

Pretty easy with this printer.

1) Connect the printer to your system

2) Go to device manager by right clicking on Computer/MyCompuer Icon and then choose Manage option.

3) From the computer management windows at the left pane locate Device manager and click on that.

4) Now at the right pane you will have the printer with Yellow exclamatory mark , right click on that and choose install driver.

5) Then select the advanced option to install the drivers manually and follow the nscreen prompt to complete the installation. (Make sure that you select the drive letter where the drivers disk is inserted.

Lost my installation disk

Lexmark does not distribute replacement install disk for all models.
If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:0:0:0
A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

Unplug printer USB.
Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
Follow driver installation wizard.
Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista

I have a Lexmark x4270 & my son lost the disk & the instruction how can i get another one?
